Yes. Kanha National Park remains open through May and June (until 30 June). Summer safaris offer excellent tiger sightings near waterholes, though temperatures can be high.

Two days are good enough to explore Kanha National Park — ideally 2–3 jeep safaris across different zones for the best wildlife experience.

Kanha Tiger Reserve is home to over 53 resident tigers, with an additional 80 tigers utilising the reserve — making it one of India's premier tiger habitats.

Jeep safari is the recommended option. You can explore Kanha thoroughly across core and buffer zones with trained naturalists. Elephant safari is not commonly offered for tourists at Kanha.

Approximately 220 km (about 4 hr 42 min) via Chandrapur–Nagpur Road — a popular combination for multi-park wildlife tours.

Kanha is famous for Royal Bengal tigers, barasingha (swamp deer), rich birdlife, sal forests and meadows — and as the forest that inspired Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book.

By road: approximately 260–300 km (5–6 hours). Nagpur Airport is the nearest major air hub for visitors flying in from other cities.

Birdwatching, leopards and Royal Bengal tiger sightings are the top highlights. Bamni Dadar sunset point and Kanha Museum are also popular.
