In Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India, Kanha National Park is located in the Maikal range of the Satpuras, structuring the central Indian highlands. As a tiger reserve, the national park is being acclaimed as one of the world's renowned wildlife conservation areas. Kanha National Park stretches across two profits districts: Mandala and Kalaghat. Acknowledged a reserve forest in 1879, it was revalued as a wildlife sanctuary in 1933. This was followed by its elevation to national park status in 1955.
